Project management for the construction or upgrading of outpatient clinics, Community Houses and operating blocks requires deep knowledge of technological, structural and regulatory requirements. In Italy, socio-healthcare design must comply with the criteria for authorization and institutional accreditation (Lombardy Region and national regulations), patient safety requirements and guidelines for energy saving and sustainability (RSE - Research on the Energy System). The facility being designed is a Residential Home for the Elderly with a functional use exclusively attributable to the RSA type, including the component reserved for self-sufficient users and the strictly necessary service residence; integrated into the municipality’s social system, it also offers services to external users for rehabilitation and for treatments linked to aesthetic and rehabilitative medicine. It offers the possibility of osmosis between the internal environment attended by residents and self-sufficient people who, however, have difficulties.
In managing projects for the construction or upgrading of outpatient clinics, the design must interpret the needs and requirements of technological systems and ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations.
